Karin Blignault – FEI competitor, International Author, Judge and Trainer in Riding with Biomechanics
“What I love about Karin’s work is how she shows us the clearest way, the one that works from a biomechanical point of view – or in simple language – Nature’s way” – SYLVIA LOCH From the Foreword to Karin’s new book, Four Steps to Riding Success
Karin has forty years of riding experience and has trained her horses to the highest level of dressage. She competed in jumping and eventing and is still an active dressage competitor. She competes at FEI levels. Karin’s published works include:
- SUCCESSFUL SCHOOLING – Train Your Horse with Empathy.
- STRETCH EXERCISES FOR YOUR HORSE.
- EQUINE BIOMECHANICS FOR RIDERS
- FOUR STEPS TO RIDING SUCCESS
Karin’s method of teaching is based on sound principles of sports biomechanics as applied to horses as well as to riders. The art of riding is all about feel. Karin focuses on teaching riders how to feel and then how to adjust instantly to what they feel. Learning through the teaching of body use, is extremely fast even for the less talented rider. Following the principles of riding hands without legs and legs without hands adds to this easy learning for both horse and rider. It ensures that the horse does not receive two opposing messages. Karin teaches riders at all levels and is particularly interested in solving training and riding problems.
